阿爾及利亞與德國的世界盃16強淘汰賽今天在巴西快樂港上演，兩隊正規時間都無法突破對方大門，最後德國靠著隸屬英格蘭超級聯賽切爾西的許爾勒（AndreSchurrle）第92分鐘打破僵局，與效力英超兵工廠的厄齊爾（Mesut Ozil）第120分鐘再添一球險勝。

麥保希（Rais M'Bolhi）守了上、下半場90分鐘的好球，在延長賽破功，德國突破疲憊的「沙漠之狐」後防，麥保希終究無力回天，但他奮力抵擋「鋼鐵坦克」的瘋狂炸門，賽後仍因精采表現獲選為單場最佳球員。

效力保加利亞球會索非亞中央陸軍（CSKA Sofia）的麥保希賽後表示：「沒人相信我們會踢到這個階段。」

這是第4度踢進會內賽的阿爾及利亞，首度闖進淘汰賽階段。

麥保希說：「我們進入了阿爾及利亞足壇的歷史。」
