摒除薪水小偷 他進40人名單

日籍投手和田毅傷後努力一年多終於有回報，根據「dailyherald.com」指出，球隊預計將在美國時間29日將捕手懷特賽德(Eli Whiteside)移出40人名單，由和田毅遞補，除了避免他使用逃脫條款離開球隊之外，也因為投手沙瑪齊加(Jeff Samardzija)交易出去的話，他隨時上大聯盟取代。

和田毅與陳偉殷同一年進金鶯，無奈他在春訓時就因為左肘韌帶斷裂而報銷，去年在小聯盟復出狀況也不理想，球季結束不再獲得續約，來到小熊也曾遭釋出，但又二度加入，在3A表現精采，至24日為止，戰績7勝4敗，防禦率僅2.81，86.1局投出83次三振，僅23次四壞保送。

因應和田毅有逃脫條款，媒體預測小熊隊29日將會有動作，把懷特賽德移出40人名單，和田毅補進去，但還不能保證升大聯盟。不過這個動作也代表王牌投手沙瑪齊加或者另一名投手漢默(Jason Hammel)可要被交易出去了，故球團在此時此刻做出此決定，以防大聯盟出現沒先發投手可用的狀況。

若這個消息成真，無疑對快要放棄的和田毅來說是好消息，因為本季就算他投得再怎麼好，小熊隊的教練團似乎沒有拉他上來的想法，使支持他的球迷乾著急，如今有機會進40人名單，更有機會進軍大聯盟，對於和田毅來說絕對是苦盡甘來，可望摒除「薪水小偷」之恥。
