歐巴馬提名坎貝爾 出任駐阿富汗指揮官

美國總統歐巴馬已經提名坎貝爾(John Campbell)出任阿富汗美軍指揮官。

美國將在今年底撤離在阿富汗的戰鬥部隊，只留下約1萬名部隊協助阿富汗軍方的訓練和諮詢工作。

坎貝爾現任美國陸軍副參謀長。如果這項提名獲得參議院批准，將是坎貝爾自2010年後重返阿富汗。坎貝爾曾在2010年6月至2011年5月在阿富汗，領導101聯合特遣隊和東部戰區。

現任阿富汗美軍指揮官是鄧福德(Joseph Dunford)，他自2013年2月起就派駐在阿富汗，並兼任北約駐阿富汗國際安全援助部隊司令。他將轉任美國陸戰隊司令。
