阿中表現好 傳釀酒人想偷藏

隨著球季接近，愈來愈多人討論台灣左投王維中開季會不會待在釀酒人的25人名單，總教練羅克尼(Ron Roenicke)幾乎每天都會被問到此問題，被問到這位小將會不會是球隊的「隱藏角色」時，羅克尼表示他無意這麼做，一個能讓打者出局又能投好球的投手，怎麼會把他隱藏呢？

王維中在春訓表現幾乎完美，上一回先發也達到教練團要求，即使有語言障礙，仍能用技術克服一切，開季進入25人名單的機率愈來愈高。若釀酒人沒有將他列入開幕名單，就得還給海盜隊，養了球員卻不是自己的，這是他們所不樂見的情形；又想讓王維中多磨練，教練團陷入矛盾。

羅克尼對於是否將王維中留下仍未鬆口，表示不會為了要幫助他未來發展隱藏他，「如果我們想贏球，我不覺得我們要藏這號人物。如果他能夠讓打者出局，而且也能投出好球，就像我們在春訓看到的那樣，我就不會去藏他。有人得擔任長中繼，而他曾當過先發，能投2或3局，我們覺得相當有信心。」

釀酒人預計要帶3個左投進入新球季，並透露不設「一人左投」，也表示球隊沒有人是「剋左專家」，「威爾史密斯(Will Smith)不是左打專家，王不是，杜克(Zack Duke)更不是。我們不想留一個只能讓一位打者出局的人，這名左投也必須具備解決右打的能力。」

王維中熱身賽成績不俗是眾所皆知的事，只是他曾待過的最高層級僅在新人聯盟，球隊也怕太快讓他上大聯盟恐怕「揠苗助長」，棘手的是他透過規則五選秀得來，若未進開季25人名單就得離隊。這個難題至少還得為難釀酒人教練團一個星期。
