| 洋基打線護航 沙胖奪下首勝

在洋基打線的強力護航下，CC Sabathia拿下本季第一勝，洋基以6比4擊敗藍鳥。
「我用了比較多的速球，」Sabathia說，「這讓我的其他變化球更有效率。」這一戰他投6局，被敲7支安打，沒有四壞球，送出6K，失4分。
洋基第一局就攻下3分，但只擊出一支安打而已，因為藍鳥先發投手Drew Hutchison投出兩次四壞、一次觸身球保送，加上Kelly Johnson的適時二壘打，製造洋基大局。
「那個大局，讓大家的壓力都減輕了。」敲出關鍵安打的Johnson說。
藍鳥一局下也有反擊，第一棒Melky Cabrera轟出本季第三號全壘打，追回一分。這個系列賽，Cabrera連三場開轟，裡面有兩支首局首打席全壘打。
提到全壘打，洋基這邊也有人紅不讓，4局上Brett Gardner擊出全隊本季第一轟，這個半局洋基再添3分，擴大優勢。
Sabathia的好投，到了6局下兩出局後，出現變化。Jose Bautista、Edwin Encarnacion、Dioner Navarro、Erik Kratz連續4支安打，藍鳥攻下3分，追到4比6，但他們的反攻也就到此為止。
洋基隊牛棚從第7局開始上班，Adam Warren、Shawn Kelley、David Robertson一人投一局，都沒失分，守住勝利。
這次三連戰，洋基隊拿下兩勝，接下來他們將回到紐約，迎接新球季主場開幕戰。

美國職棒小聯盟，王建民在紅人AAA的路易維爾蝙蝠隊第一次登板，先發主投五局被打五支安打，包括三支內野安打跟一發全壘打一共丟掉四分，最後蝙蝠三比六落敗王建民吞下敗投。

紅人AAA的蝙蝠開季跟底特律AAA的托雷多母雞打三連戰，蝙蝠連勝兩場後王建民擔任第三場的先發投手，母雞開路先鋒卡瑞拉第一球就偷點內野安打上壘，卡瑞拉接著盜二壘再靠隊友高飛球上三壘，一出局後母雞游擊滾地球王建民丟分；四局上蝙蝠追平比數後，四局下母雞又靠王建民兩次保送跟一支安打攻佔兩出局滿壘，道格拉斯又觸擊強迫取分點成安打再添一分。
五局輪回卡瑞拉打出投手滾地球王建民擋到卻沒接到又安打上壘，接著小聯盟生涯七年只打24支全壘打的裴瑞茲左外野兩分砲。王建民投滿五局用了80球包括50個好球，三振四次被打五支安打包括三支內野安打運氣欠佳還送出三次保送，滾地球跟飛球比率一比一，母雞終場以六比三獲勝，王建民吞下敗投防禦率5.40。
