有「關老爺」之稱的考試院長關中打滾政治半世紀，在政治生涯的最後一站揮起大刀，向公務人員的福利砍去，引起一片罵聲，但仍堅持做到底；他心心念念的公務人員考績法、年金改革在他卸任前過關恐無望，成了他任上最大的缺憾。
六年前關中接下考試院長一職，接連提出考績法丙等改革、公務人員退撫制度改革，並且取消公務人員年終慰問金等改革方案；儘管千夫所指，他依舊不改其志。
面對考績改革質疑，他屢屢說重話。關中稱自己具有「阿Q精神」，去年，他說在最後一年任期，要加倍努力，推動年金改革方案與考績法盡快通過，相信會「柳暗花明又一村」，可惜他的期待恐得落空。
面對外界排山倒海壓力，關中不曾退卻。但三年前，失去摯愛女兒的痛，卻幾乎打垮了他。
當時關中因為過度思念女兒，天天以淚洗面，還因傷心過度，身體狀況不好，他在工作時間外出做物理按摩，引起爭議。當時就傳出他因悲傷到無心工作，打算辭職，後來被挽留。
幕僚透露，除了年事已高，關中也想多陪陪孫女。去年他即打定主意不續任，未來要專心陪小孫女，去年開始準備搬離官邸，另覓住處。

女星鍾欣怡和製作人孫樂欣交往穩定，上月15日她首度上節目宣傳新戲《雨後驕陽》，當時談及婚事她面露嬌羞地說：「天時地利人和才有可能，」堅稱兩人想以事業為重，沒想到相隔不到1個月，孫樂欣今天就在節目上下跪求婚，讓外界一度懷疑鍾欣怡懷孕著急嫁人，經紀公司則否認謠言。
鍾欣怡今二度錄製中天《SS小燕之夜》，男友孫樂欣也是該節目製作人，正好符合「天時地利」，錄影到一半，螢幕上突然出現小S和周杰倫等巨星的祝福影片，就在女方還一頭霧水時，孫樂欣拿著鑽戒帥氣登場，當場單膝下跪求婚：「妳願意嫁給我嗎？」主持人張小燕再在一旁順勢幫腔：「妳願不願意啊？」讓鍾欣怡當場哽咽，嬌羞點頭答應。然而消息一出，也開始謠傳懷孕一事，但鍾欣怡經紀公司聽聞後隨即否認。
